SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — On March 14, the Somerset County Association of Chiefs of Police (SCACOP) welcomed Dr. Caesar DePaço, who presented Chief Michael McMahon, President of the SCACOP, with a very generous donation toward the law enforcement goals and initiatives of the SCACOP.
Police officers throughout Somerset County work tirelessly in order to ensure the safety and security of our residents.
The SCACOP is committed to developing programs that will benefit those who live, work or visit Somerset County and to supporting effective and efficient law enforcement services through multi-agency cooperation and the sharing of resources.
Dr. Caesar DePaço, CEO and Founder, of Summit Nutritionals International, based in Lebanon Borough, has a long history of making generous donations to Law Enforcement and First Responders across the United States.
Since 2013, Dr. DePaço has donated over $5 million to Law Enforcement and First Responders across the United States. His hope is that his contributions will empower other members of the community to support our local, state and federal heroes.
Dr. DePaco’s very generous donation will enable us to continue to support law enforcement and community-based programs that include, but are not limited to:
- Equipment and training for specialized law enforcement services such as the Somerset County Emergency Response/SWAT Team, Dive Rescue and Recovery Team, Collision Analysis Accident Reconstruction Team and the Arson Task Force
- College Scholarships to deserving students of Police Officers
- Funding for youth-related educational and prevention programs such as: Project Graduation and the Police Academy Youth Week
- The Pink Car Project: Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness
The SCACOP is in support of training programs that provide officers with the tools, skills, and options needed to defuse a range of critical incidents successfully and safely. We also support programs that educate officers to intervene in order to prevent harm and to create a law enforcement culture that supports peer intervention and improves diversity within all of our local law enforcement agencies to better reflect the communities we serve.
We greatly appreciate Dr. DePaco’s donation and thank him for his continued support of Law Enforcement and First Responders.
